Dr. Ioannis Liakos is the founding Editor-in-Chief of the ICAIRI Journal of Anticancer Intelligence and the founder of the International Cancer Artificial Intelligence Research Institute (ICAIRI), Athens, Greece, with which he is currently affiliated. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Manchester and completed postdoctoral research at the Italian Institute of Technology (IIT), Genoa, followed by a postdoctoral research position at the National Centre for Scientific Research "Demokritos," Athens, and a role as Scientific Officer at the European Commission Joint Research Centre (EC JRC). His research focuses on the application of artificial intelligence to anticancer research, including the development of AI-driven cancer digital twin systems for treatment planning and outcome prediction, and computational approaches to toxicology and drug-substance affinity prediction relevant to oncology. He is the author of approximately 74 peer-reviewed publications with over 2,600 citations.
