About the Journal
Focus and Scope
The ICAIRI Journal of AI in Anticancer Research (IJAIAR) is the flagship, peer-reviewed publication of the International Cancer Artificial Intelligence Research Institute (ICAIRI). The journal publishes original research, reviews, and methodological contributions at the intersection of artificial intelligence and oncology. Submissions are welcomed across six core areas: AI Methods for Cancer Research, Cancer Genomics and Multi-omics, Cancer Imaging and Pathology, AI-driven Drug Discovery, Clinical Oncology and Decision Support, and Reviews and Tutorials.
Peer Review Process
All submissions to IJAIAR undergo a rigorous single-blind peer review process. Manuscripts are initially assessed by the editorial team for scope and quality, then sent to at least two independent expert reviewers. Reviewer identities remain confidential to the authors throughout the process. Final decisions are made by the Editor-in-Chief based on reviewer recommendations.
Open Access Policy
IJAIAR provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. All articles are published under a Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY 4.0), permitting free reuse with appropriate attribution.
Article Processing Charge (APC)
Upon acceptance, authors are asked to pay an Article Processing Charge (APC) of $450 USD to cover the costs of editorial management, peer review coordination, typesetting, and digital archiving. Payment of the APC is not a condition for peer review and does not influence editorial decisions; it is requested only after a manuscript has been accepted for publication.
Fee Waiver Policy
IJAIAR is committed to ensuring that the APC does not become a barrier to publication for researchers with limited funding. Full or partial fee waivers are available on request for authors based in low- and middle-income countries, or in cases of demonstrated financial hardship. Waiver requests should be submitted to the editorial office at the time of manuscript submission and will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis by the Editor-in-Chief.
Copyright Notice
Authors who publish with this journal retain copyright of their work and grant the journal right of first publication, with the work simultaneously licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY 4.0) that allows others to share and adapt the work with appropriate credit to the original authors and publication.
